Zamokuhle Nomcebo Sithole

Hailing from South Africa where she was a member of the singing group, Mecsa Sounds of Praise, she has served as a principle singer in local church choirs in her hometown of Johannesburg.  She also performed a role in the musical A Song for June 10 directed by Duma Ka Ndlovu and choreographed by Somizi Mhlongo.  She is a featured vocalist on Martinique’s award-winning album, Fanm Lanmou, by recording artist Valerie Lourie’s latest.  Additionally, she participated in a music workshop offered by the creative team of director Julie Taymor’s Broadway musical The Lion King in South Africa.  She then went on to perform as ensemble singer and cover for the role of Rafiki with The Lion King in the Paris, France and Singapore companies. At the same time, she performed in La Grand Fête du Théâtre Musical (A celebration of musical theater) at Théâtre Comedia where she was featured in a musical rendition of Broadway musical RENT’s  “I’ll Cover You”, adapted to French by Herve Lewandowski and Aurélien Berda and staged by Wanjiru Kamuyu.  Currently an ensemble singer, Sithole is performing in London’s West End production of The Lion King. She is a founding company member of WKcollective.
